Derk de Geus is a Dutch independent artist, music producer, and student of life. He works at the cross-section of technology, spirituality and creativity. This is where he finds the interesting questions.

For nearly two decades he built and ran Paladin Studios, an award-winning game development studio that worked with clients like Nintendo, Apple and Netflix. As the studio grew larger, he increasingly found himself wishing for a different path. In 2024, he closed the studio and returned to being an independent artist. Now, he merges technology and creativity for fun, profit, and the greater good.

Derk writes and produces music for the road back home: intimate acoustic songs and modern mantras about the journey of life. He performs solo and with fellow musicians, from living rooms to ceremonial gatherings, and leads singing circles around the world.

Underneath it runs a long thread of spiritual practice - meditation, retreats, psychedelics, nonduality, and the philosophy and psychology that frame them. Instead of spirituality as theory or escape, he uses it as the inspiration for all aspects of his life and work.

With the advent of AI, he has been exploring what this technology means for creativity and consciousness. In 2026, he gave the most powerful AI in the world the challenge to write a book that guides a person toward enlightenment.
