My new EP, “Walk With The Spirit” is out now! Woop woop huray! 🥳 I’m writing this little post in my campervan as I am on holiday with my family. When I submitted the song, I accidentally chose today as the release date, not realizing that it’s the week I am in the UK with my family on a roadtrip. I tried to reschedule, and that seemed to work, until this morning when I saw my worst fear materialize - the song was out. And I didn’t prep anything for the marketing. So here we are, it’s a rush job, so I’ll work with what I got 😊
This song was written about a year ago, and it has seen quite some evolution. Every time I brought it to a singing circle, something happened — sometimes it was a steamroller, sometimes a vibrant celebration, sometimes a “blow the roof off” moment. It seems like this song has a life of its own when it meets the crowds. But every single time, feeling so many people sing “I walk with the spirit by my side” at the top of their lungs together was so incredibly uplifting and energizing. I will never forget those moments, and I hope many more will come.
The song doesn’t require a belief in God or a Great Spirit. The point is simpler than that: life is profoundly mysterious and awe-inspiring. We are aware as we breathe and walk this planet. That alone is extraordinary. In the words of Ram Dass: we are spiritual beings having a human experience. This song is a recognition of that mystery — and an affirmation of it.

The EP has three versions: the studio recording, an acoustic version without the beat, and the live version as performed at the Uria Tsur Vocal Freedom singing circle.
